  Crime and Punishment: An Analysis of the Human Soul   "Crime and Punishment", written by Fyodor Dostoevsky in 1866, is one of the most influential novels in world literature. Through his protagonist, Rodion Raskolnikov, the author explores philosophical, moral and psychological issues that continue to resonate today.   The plot revolves around Raskolnikov, an impoverished student from St. Petersburg who commits murder believing his act is justified. Raskolnikov maintains a theory according to which there are "extraordinary" people with the right to transgress moral laws in pursuit of a greater good. However, after murdering an elderly moneylender, he faces an internal conflict that consumes him.

Ada Lovelace    Ada Lovelace, whose full name was Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace, was born on December 10, 1815 in London, United Kingdom, and died on November 27, 1852 in the same city. She was a British mathematician and writer known for her pioneering work in the field of programming and her collaboration with Charles Babbage on the invention of the analytical machine, a precursor device to modern computers. In 1842, Lovelace translated into English and revised a paper by Italian engineer Luigi Menabrea on Babbage's analytical engine. In her annotations, Lovelace included a set of algorithms designed specifically for implementation on a computer, so that the machine would calculate a series of Bernoulli numbers, annotations three times as long as Menabrea's paper.
